How to spot counterfeit software!

How to spot counterfeit software!

Counterfeit software can be very difficult to identify as the reproduction of unauthorised copies are often cleverly designed to imitate the manufacturer’s legitimate product so closely that it requires a trained eye to spot the tell tell signs.

Microsoft has done a great deal of work to help software users protect themselves from illegal sales channels and offer tips and advice to help the user ensure that the software licenses they purchase are genuine. Click here to link to the Microsoft ‘How to Tell’ web pages that provide guidance and advice on what to look for, examples of counterfeit product and a guide on how to purchase genuine software licenses plus much more.

Visit the Microsoft ‘Counterfeit Gallery’ pages to view real examples of counterfeit product.
